OUR HISTORY

Founded in 1977, in the first permanent Child Health Centre in South Perth, Hensman Street Pre-School was one of the first established, 3 year old, independent schools.  Lefki Kailis, a driving factor of setting up Hensman Street Pre-School, wanted to move the teacher run playgroup from her backyard into a more formalised setting.  Fast forward to 2016, the Board changed its thinking and have now implemented a Kindy program and this year in 2019 added Pre-Primary.  With the support of the City of South Perth, the Department of Education and local families we will be looking to expand further over the coming years.
