Hensman Street Elementary is the first Little Scientist House school in Western Australia, an honour we have held since 2016.  

 

This wonderful early years science exploration program fits perfectly with the ethos of our School.  Children love exploration through play and our staff encourage all "I wonder" questions. 

 

We spend many hours wondering and exploring Reggio inspired provacations set up by children and teachers, inspired by childrens questioning and inquiry.  It is wonderful to see so many children engaged in science before they attend formal schooling.  If we can capture their ideas and love of science now, imagine what the world could be like when they grow up!

Our after school care sessions involve activities based on the Little Scientists House program and we have called it the Little Scientist Club.
