River School

Term 4 saw our kindy and preprimary classes embark on an adventure to the end of our street and local Swan River area. With this regular fortnight trip we were able to engage in the Urban Forestation project with the City of South Perth where the classes got to plant trees and shrubs surrounding the wetlands as new habitats for local birds. We are already looking forward to what 2020 holds for us and the team at COSP.

Next we met with local Noongar Leader Jasmine to learn about the derbal yerrigan (Swan River) and the wagyl (serpent). Jasmine is a wealth of local knowledge and the journey she shares with our classes is rich and authentic. Our children are very lucky to be exposed to such rich local culture of our nations first people.

If you share the love of outdoors as we do, consider us as your first choice school.
